Most of it is junk, but that's not overly surprising. Sort by Replies, and the Pinochle Bidding Examples topic will come up near the top.

I have been enjoying the read through the yahoo forums. There are many good posts by you and others. Once I am finished reading everything I'll be back to discuss some thoughts.

Well, then, I've got a few weeks to re-gather my thoughts... Smile

I'm on page 11 of 14 of the Bidding thread. Then I want to read the thread on hand play.

Hand play, both declarer play and defense, is IMO VERY weakly covered, at least online, and the area where I see the most questionable actions, and many outright WRONG actions, that are considered sound by their executors. To mention one: dummy knowingly forcing declarer to ruff, in the early to middle stages of a hand. This *can* be correct under some pretty specific circumstances, but in general it only costs time and increases the risk declarer will lose control.

I didn't bother mentioning that thread because it really wasn't that good. The thread got hijacked at some point which was a shame because based on the bidding thread, there could have been some good conversation.

Just where are the Yahoo Pinochle threads?

I think they're gone. Yahoo used to have a board system more or less like this, but they...in their infinite wisdom...changed it around to a retarded form of a suggestion box, nothing more.

That's what I thought.
