I don't know where the best place to play is, but pogo.com is pay to play. The free sites to play pinochle would be at games.com and playok. Try both and give us your reviews. We do have a games.com review on the home page.

It is now beyond dead...they cremated the body and tossed the ashes into a hurricane.
From https://games.yahoo.com/game/yahoo-hearts.html, we get told that 'Yahoo Classic Games has ceased operation.' As of the end of 2014. ALL of them...bridge, pinochle, hearts, and spades at least. mick likes this to be a G-rated forum, so I'll limit myself to calling Yahoo a bunch of moneygrubbing LIARS. We're not surprised, as it's been dead for, what, a couple years now. But now they've totally abandoned their word that they'd bring back the classic games, and it makes me think that whole message was posing on their part; they ONLY wanted to find a sponsor, or some other link to making money. Mick...please remove the yahoo scoring option from the meld calculator and meld test GUIs...or if PlayOK is using it, then rename it. Let's reject Yahoo since they have now totally rejected us.

I think your request to purge Yahoo Pinochle from Power Pinochle is justified. I will just need to think briefly about any knock-on effects that may occur from removing their charts from my programs. I will talk with rakbeater about this, just to be safe, but I think the removal should go forward. Thanks for the info, TE.

I wouldn't remove the charts themselves. Just remove (or disable) the GUI aspects. That's a great deal simpler.
