Leading Horses to Water

Well, I feel I have done my bit to hunt down Pinochlers and contact the masses.
  • I have exhaustively google searched a wide array of Pinochle keywords.
  • I have combed through Google Groups and Yahoo Groups.  (by the way, Yahoo groups aren't moderated and are total filth -- don't bother)
  • I have scoured LinkedIn, YouTube, and StackOverflow for anyone that has ever whispered the word "pinochle".
  • I have visited blogs, software sites, and forums.
  • I have read nearly every association's and club's websites.
  • I have targeted players, hosts, bloggers, authors, software developers, and statisticians.
I have just sent the last of over 500 emails to everyone I could find, in hopes of bringing pinochle players together.
I do not plan to perform this exercise for a long, long time, if ever again (people don't like to be harassed).

If a Pinochle player doesn't know about Power Pinochle or can't find us, then they just aren't looking very hard.

Here is the short list of actions I didn't take, and don't plan to:
  • Sitting in online Pinochle lounges and typing "Come to http://www.powerpinochle.com".
  • Advertising on social media, specifically Facebook and Twitter as I don't personally use these services.  (Yes, we have a Facebook page!)
Now I will only ask that our members and guests consider helping me to spread the word and advertise our generous offerings to everyone they play with.  I will leave the "how you do that" up to each individual.

Many thanks to all our supporters!
