Beginner's Hand Classifier

As a point of interest, to program a computer to play I had to invent a hand classification, which turned out to be good for beginners too.
The concept is QC, or Quality Count. It is Aces * 2 and proposed trump suit cards * 2. Aces of trump count twice.
The QC indicates how many counters will be pulled pretty accurately. This is used as the number to add to meld plus your partners assumed or given meld to give how high one can bid.
There is still your classification of type of hand but the QC removes the doubt about how to classify the power of the hand.
The program uses it and it is a very potent player. If you find this helpful feel free to use as supplemental.

Now that Power Pinochle has its first pinochle game site (WoCG) exporting hand histories in Power Pinochle Notation for the Hand Animator program, we can start testing counter estimation concepts against actual card game outcomes!

I think TE has his own concept, I believe I posted a theoretical one somewhere in the forum, and we can certainly run yours.
With each posted hand history in the Hand History Analysis forum we can compare estimates with real results.
