You know it's gonna be a rough game when...
hand 1. Partner holds
and does not save. You don't save on a non-suit, but gee...this is a 9 trick hand in diamonds. Give pard any 20 meld and you're in the neighborhood of a save before counting on pard for any tricks. What's so annoying is so many people save on ANY marriage, which is also wrong.
Then hand 3. Partner's in 4th seat; auction starts 51 - pass - pass to pard.
Bids 52 with:
THEN, to top it off...cashes all the aces then exits with a trump (diamonds, of course). No good reason to play the hand...just defend. Can't ignore the chance that they're going set, and you have great defense, not offense.
If this was NPA rules? Probably a different story, because the run is too valuable, and I suspect the frequency of bidder having a run, is higher than the frequency that the opponents are going set. So that alone would be a 40 point swing.
